Before embarking on becoming a Registered Massage Therapist, Meagan spent a year in Guangzhou, China studying Chinese language and culture. As her interest in health and wellness grew, she enrolled at West Coast College of Massage Therapy, where she successfully graduated in 2015 and fulfilled her goal of providing medical care in a calming environment. She spent the first seven years of her practice servicing downtown Vancouver, New West, and the tri-cities communities before moving back to her hometown of Abbotsford.
Meagan’s practice is focused on perinatal health, and in 2021 she began taking birth doula coursework and has had the honour of providing her clients with massage, education, and advocacy during their births. During her RMT practicum, she gained the experience of working with high-risk pregnancies and complicated labours at BC Women’s Hospital in Vancouver.
Her treatment style is both therapeutic and stress-relieving, and she often utilizes myofascial release and trigger point release in her approach. She aspires to provide evidence-informed care and to ensure that her patients feel heard and validated.
