I love helping people, which is why I chose to go into counselling. Everyone goes through times of struggles and challenges. It takes strength to face challenges and to actively work toward doing things differently. While the process can be difficult, I believe the outcome makes it worthwhile. My goal is to create a safe space for clients as we work together to work through your challenges.

I have worked in mental health since 2007 in a variety of areas, including depression, anxiety, self-esteem, stress management, emotion regulation, anger management, life transitions, goal-setting, abuse, trauma, grief and loss, and substance misuse. I also work with individuals, couples, and families to help improve relationships through improving communication, conflict resolution, and setting boundaries.

I use a variety of therapies, including mindfulness, self-compassion, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and have level 1 and 2 of the Gottman marriage method, I am client-centered and work with my clients to determine the best therapies to use for the client as well as the struggle we are addressing.

I love to learn which means I am committed to ongoing professional development to ensure that I am always providing relevant, evidence-based therapy to clients.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two boys. I love to document our life through photography and scrapbooking. I also enjoy getting away, either spending time camping in the woods or being near the ocean.
