About Maria Rizzi

I graduated from VCMT and discovered a passion for helping people feel better, move better, and take care of their overall wellbeing through massage therapy. During my time working at Spa Utopia, I gained experience providing both relaxation and therapeutic treatments while learning the importance of creating a positive and comfortable experience for every patient. 

I take a patient focused approach to treatment and believe that every person and every body is different. I enjoy working together with my patients to better understand the source of their pain, tension, or discomfort so we can create a treatment plan that supports their individual goals.
My treatments may include a combination of Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, tigger point therapy, joint mobilizations, and active and passive stretching, depending on each patients needs and comfort level. I aim to provide treatments that are both effective and relaxing, while helping patients feel supported throughout their care.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy staying active and making time for the things I love. You’ll usually find me hiking, spending time with friends and family, or getting lost in a good book. I also love exploring new places whenever I can, whether that’s around BC or traveling to different places outside the province.
